The Power of Curiosity

Hey L,

It can be challenging to navigate challenging feelings without casting judgement on oneself for the reasons behind those feelings. It's honestly pretty normal as we feel a natural desire to make sense of things (like feelings) that seem confusing at the time.

Regrettably, when experiencing negative and challenging emotions such as fear, jealousy, insecurity, or rejection, the inclination is to pass judgment that is especially harsh or shameful.

Example...

I feel scared.
Why do I feel scared?
I guess it's because I'm not brave enough or man enough to handle the situation.

Enter shame and disgrace.

But instead of jumping to conclusions about our feelings, it's more beneficial to take time to investigate them with a genuine curiosity and fascination.

And that is the subject of this week's post, so check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
