Purity and Pain

Hey L,

If you've been following along with us this month, you know we've been focusing all our conversations around the church and church culture as it pertains to the matters of sexual integrity.

It may not be popular to say, but the reality is that the church (leadership and the church at large) can be doing better in this area... much better!

One area where this is especially true is how we handle the sexually broken and our preferred solutions/remedies to the needs of that group.

Witness a comment we received on one of our Facebook posts citing some stats about porn and the church.

"Why is [porn] so big a problem, if ministers are teaching
chastity to their congregations?"

Translation?

If we just teach people how to behave better, then everything will be fine.

Of course this sentiment could not be farther from the truth as we've said for years, but yet people in the church (especially) still often cling to this ridiculous notion.

Let me be clear, behavior modification is not the answer to sexual brokenness.

Check out this week's post on our site where I dive into this conversation a bit more, and in the meantime, if you are hurting in this area and looking for real answers to your struggles, check out the X3pure Workshop.
