We are wired for struggle

Hey L,

Sometimes it's easy to feel inadequate and unworthy when living in a world that is so focused on performance and achievement. This is especially true when you factor in the powerful influence of social media where people are constantly and carefully curating posts that put them in the best possible light.

Unfortunately, as a consequence, many push themselves to meet society's high standards just to gain acceptance and a modicum of affirmation.

This constant chase can damage one's self-esteem and lead to unhealthy and/or addictive behaviors as they try to cope with the resulting anxiety and insecurity.

But author and researcher Brené Brown reminds us that challenges are a natural part of life and that we can grow and become more resilient through them because we are wired for struggle.

That, despite our imperfections, we are still worthy of love and acceptance.

And so in this week's post, we dive more into this subject. So, check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
