What is a community?

Hey L, Have you ever heard or read a quote that really hit you? Something that just landed and resonated with your experience or worldview? Don't get me wrong. I often get tired of scrolling through the endless quotes and clichés that glut social media feeds. Mostly because those quotes often serve as clever sound bites of larger conversations that can't be fully captured by one or two simple sentences. Yet, there are those occasional quotes that really get you. And so this month we are going to be sharing some of our favorite quotes and why they mean something to us, specifically in regards to how they relate to recovery. So with that said... here's one I personally love by writer and viral TEDx presenter Simon Sinek. "A community is a group of people who agree to grow together." The key word there is "grow." But why is growth critical to community? Well, that is the subject of this week's post. So, check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
