Matt Chandler – The Silver Lining

Hey L, Last week the story broke that megachurch pastor Matt Chandler was stepping back from the pulpit of The Village Church due to what he phrased as "unguarded" and "unwise" online behavior. As per usual, when a Christian leader of Chandler's prominence experiences a fall from grace the media coverage from news sources and the bloggers goes crazy. It's like when a car accident causes a "gaper" delay - everyone slows down to take a peek. And yes, occurrences like these are extremely unfortunate and contribute to an overall declining trust in the organizational church. But in Chandler's case, there is what I would call a silver lining... some reason to be hopeful you might say.
