The Problem with Masks

Hey L, Last week I said that admitting we need help and being transparent about our struggles can get scary. And it definitely can. This is why so many people carrying around the heavy burden of pornography and/or sex addiction remain silent rather than seek help. This is why they continue to hide behind a happy mask that says, "Life is great and so am I!" And if that describes you, I get it. Again, I've been there. But the problem is while your mask may be fooling others, it's not fooling you, and it's not fooling the pain or shame you feel each day. We need to move past the masks and past the charades, so we can pursue real freedom and healing. But again, harder said than done, right?
