How to Break Through Apathy

Hey L,

A few of weeks ago I was chatting with a pastor friend of mine, and we started talking about the pornography problem in the church.

During that conversation, my friend who also serves as a coach for other leaders in his denomination said something that jumped out at me. That was this…

"The biggest problem [speaking of porn and infidelity issues] according to the pastors I talk to is apathy. People just don't care enough to do anything."

Ouch!

While I do sometimes think apathy can be a problem, I also think there is a better way to explain what happens when people give up on the process of recovery or put little effort into it.

Additionally, I also believe that this sort of "apathy" can be addressed and resolved, but it takes some effort.

In fact, that is the subject of this week's post so check it out here and let us know what you think in the comments!
