Last week we talked about the problem with labeling things (like porn) and behaviors (like masturbation) as "bad" because of our tendency to skip past the need to explain why something is actually "bad."
However, let's be honest.
- Are these things good?
- Why not just be honest and say what needs to be said?
What harm can come from recognizing something as being "bad" when all indicators seem to point to the same conclusion?
Fair enough point.
However, even if we may agree that something is wrong, bad, or sinful... we must be careful how we approach those conversations, so we can invite more meaningful engagement and the opportunity for growth.
