Shifting Your Boundaries

Hey L,

Last week, I mentioned that change is inevitable. What I meant is that as you progress on the path of real change, you'll experience shifts in your life beyond just reducing unwanted sexual behavior.

One key area where this becomes evident is in how we set personal boundaries.

Understand that after more than 10 years of working with people struggling with sexual compulsions, one thing I've consistently seen is that as individuals grow both sexually and mentally healthier, their ability to set boundaries strengthens as well.

This growth often shows up in the following ways:

  • Decisions about what they will or won't do.
  • Choices about where they will or won't go.
  • Awareness of who they allow in their life—or choose to distance themselves from.

And that's the focus of this week's post. Take a look and let us know your thoughts in the comments!
