Hey L,
I don't know about you, but some of the stories my kids come home from school with, particularly when it comes to what they hear about kids in their school and sex, are quite honestly disturbing.
For instance, my daughter was bothered because a girl she knew at school was going around telling people how she used a sandwich baggie as a prophylactic with her boyfriend?!?!
As a parent, when you hear these things, you shake your head and may wonder what you can do to keep them from going down the same path?
Some consequently resort to scare tactics such as, "You'll get pregnant!" Others lean on their religious dogmas telling their kids that God won't be happy if they "pursue the lusts of their flesh." (Sidenote: if that's you, please never phrase it that way.)
Regardless, this was the approach my parents took with me and, you know what?
That approach was a complete failure.
