3 Reasons for Grace After a Relapse

Hey L,

Let's just agree on this...

Relapses suck.

They suck for you.
They suck for the ones you love.
They suck for everyone.

And why?

Because failure sucks and relapses are a form of failure. Or at least that's the way we perceive them.

But relapses provide us with an opportunity. Not just to learn and grow, but to show ourselves a measure of grace and love rather than shame and disgrace.

In fact, that is the subject of this week's post, so check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.

By the way, if you find it difficult to be kind to yourself after a relapse and feel overwhelmed by the shame that follows, I highly recommend that you take a look at my book, When Shame Gets Real, as it provides a fresh outlook on this age-old issue.
