How Not To Talk About Sex Courtesy of New Hillsong Documentary

Hey L, This month we are focusing our content around the need for healthy conversations about sex, sexuality, porn, and masturbation in an effort to remove the shame that often accompanies these discussions. Well, call it coincidence or perfect timing... My wife and I sat down to watch the new Discovery+ docuseries titled Hillsong: A Megachurch Exposed. I could make a long list of really troublesome issues this video series uncovered, but one of the things that really struck me was a story from a former church member about her experience with her youth pastor concerning her decision to have premarital sex with her boyfriend. Talk about a prime example of what not to do when approaching the topic of sex! Consequently, I decided to make that the subject of this week's post since this girl's story perfectly exemplifies the mistakes we often see when parents or pastors try to handle delicate sexual matters the wrong way.
